Crook and Marker mask

Evolution? Maybe. Adapting? Definitely!

In Creativity by Linda Parker

We are apparently adapting quite well to our socially distanced environment. Crook & Marker® produce organic supergrain alcohol. I am not exactly sure what that means, but it sounds impressive… and tasty. Crook & Marker beverages are the brainchild of Ben Weiss, who is also the founder of, and mastermind behind, Bai® antioxidant infusion beverages.

During a brainstorming session this past May, the creative team at Crook & Marker mocked up an image of a quarantine facemask with a valve for sipping drinks through a straw. And then, jokingly, they posted the image on their social sites.

Yep! Immediately, people clamored for such a facemask. What could Crook & Marker do but oblige?

Here’s how they describe their new product:

“Keep your face covered, or take a sip of your favorite alcoholic beverage? A decision many Americans are facing as they practice social distancing. Well at Crook & Marker, we believe you shouldn’t have to compromise. So we are introducing a brand new, state-of-the-art Face Mask with an integrated straw flap so sophisticated that you will think NASA created it (they didn’t). Whether you’re trying to enjoy a cold one at the beach, pool, or family BBQ, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered. Literally.”

Profits from the sale of the mask will be donated to the USBG Bartender Emergency Assistance Program to support bartenders and hospitality workers impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

So yes, necessity may truly be the mother of invention.
